Scrapbooking Heaven !!

Wisconsin – Tues 7th April
{Dereck} Today we left New York and took at 2 hour flight to Minneapolis in Minnesota. At JFK Michelle had her hand luggage searched after we had to remove our shoes, etc. After a 10min search, including looking thru’ book they found nothing of course expect missing the Heineken Lager I had slipped in one of the side pockets J We were picked up at the airport by Michelle’s uncle Peter & aunt Liz who took us to the Mall of America in Minneapolis (at one stage the biggest mall in the world which even has it’s own theme park with roller coasters in the middle – see pics) If you were to walk all the floors your would cover 3.2 Km !!! Who said you can’t get fit from shopping they say !
Went to lunch at a nice restaurant and then went looking for (you guessed it … a scrapbook shop !!) This shop was huge and it took us 45 mins to get Michelle out of the place after she only saw ½ the shop and left me $80 poorer !! {Michelle} This shop was awesome and I will be returning !!

Then on to Peter & Liz’s house which is out in the countryside in rural Wisconsin near River Falls for some R&R
Wisconsin – Wed 8th April
Today we went for a drive down the St Croix which flows into the Mississippi for a nice lunch in a small town called Stockholm (not the one in Sweden !!) with a population of 97 – see pic. Continued on down the Mississippi for approx 100Km and then crossed over to the Minnesota side for the trip back to River Falls.
Every town you drive through has a sign with the population on it whic gets updated every 10 years when they do a census.

Scrapping fever signing off ...

At last, we get a tiny glimpse of a scrapping haven, but that basket looked really empty and I am glad you planning to return. I saw the back of a head of annother patient husband ... Dereck at least you were not the only one. So Michelle, did you see anything brand new? Love the pics of the little village is gorgeous, wish I could live in a village with only 97 inhabitants. Hugs from Desire
PS See you once again spoilt Tha Sisters!!!
